Blackhawk Church will be coming along the disaster response/rebuild efforts of Samaritan’s Purse by sending GO Teams. This blog will feature posts from these teams.

Blackhawk Church is currently sending a team to come alongside the disaster rebuild efforts of Samaritan’s Purse being conducted in Texas. In late August 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas, resulting in catastrophic rainfall-triggered flooding in the Houston metropolitan area. The resulting floods destroyed affected hundreds of homes and displaced more than 30,000 people. It is tied with Hurricane Katrina in terms of cost of damages. Samaritan’s Purse is dedicated to meeting critical needs in disaster affected regions and have been assisting in Texas since November of 2017. Samaritan’s Purse expects that their rebuild efforts will last a minimum of 2 more years. This team will help with rebuild efforts in Pearland, TX by repairing homes on working on new home construction.
